On Wednesday afternoon, a backstage confrontation between "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal and TNA Wrestling photographer Lee South almost turned ugly prior to a shoot involving Lethal's soon-to-be wife, SoCal Val.

Val was about to begin the shoot for her Knockouts Gallery when Lethal burst in the room and demanded everything be stopped immediately.

According to eyewitnesses, Lethal tried to cover up Val (despite her protests), and made threatening motions towards Lee.

"You can't photograph Val! Don't you know that no one is supposed to see the bride before a wedding? It's bad luck! This ends now - Val come with me!" Lethal was quoted as saying.

However, cooler heads prevailed before the situation got out of hand as one of the photo assistants informed Lethal that he was mistaken - it was actually bad luck for the bride and groom to see EACH OTHER before the wedding! • Read more?

WRESTLING LEGENDS TO ATTEND SUNDAY'S WEDDING AT SLAMMIVERSARY

There are some big guests that will be attending this Sunday's wedding between "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal and SoCal Val!

TNAwrestling.com has learned that wrestling legends Kamala, Koko B. Ware, Jake "The Snake" Roberts and George "The Animal" Steele will all be at Slammiversary to celebrate the matrimony between Jay and Val!

According to our sources, Lethal has asked all of the legends to serve as his groomsmen for the wedding!

American Idol star Ace Young will also be a part of the ceremony, as will Sonjay Dutt who is Lethal's Best Man.

Slammiversary takes place this Sunday live on Pay-Per-View from the Memphis area starting at 8pm ET / 5pm PT. Call your local cable or satellite provider for availability!

Val comes on and talks about her name and the different interpretations of it. She talks about her first start in wrestling and the eternal question of what she prefers being a good or bad character. Her current angle is very popular and she is embracing the fandom.

She is relatively young and she thinks it's good to start young to learn the business. She talks about doing things with the WWE (modeling that is) before coming to TNA.

The wedding with her and Jay Lethal at Slammiversary PPV is her biggest venture into her on-air TNA character. She talks about reading some on-line webpages about this angle and the silliness of what they write. She sees it as a honor to retro this Randy Savage angle. She and Jay and TNA are updating this angle. It has been 17 years since the WWFs original angle.
